The school is accessed from Bowmont Street. Scottish Borders Council has recently approved plans for a new secondary school to be built at Angraflat Road.

Main entrance to Floors Castle
The grandiose entrance to the large park in which stands Floors Castle, home of the Dukes of Roxburgh and the largest inhabited castle in Scotland. The gateway is on the very edge of the built-up area of Kelso.

Gateway to Floors Castle
The two gate houses are occupied. After walking along the banks of the Tweed I found myself on the wrong side of the locked gates. The gentleman in the left hand gatehouse kindly unlocked the smaller gate and allowed me through. T'would have been a long wait till Easter.
