This view of Roxburgh Street is dominated by the bulk and spire of the category A listed St John's Edenside and Edrom Church of Scotland of 1865-7 by F.T. Pilkington. Built as Kelso Free Church, it is now named Kelso North Parish Church.

The Cobby Riverside Walk
Broad grassy walk alongside the River Tweed to the north of Kelso town centre. The imposing spire is that of Kelso North Parish Church, an elaborate neo-Gothic structure built in 1866. The two flags flying are the saltire of St Andrew (the national flag of Scotland) and, rather incongruously, the flag of Orkney whose design and colours reflect the joint Scottish and Norwegian heritage of Orkney.
