Stone Built Houses in Eden Road, Gordon, Scottish Borders
A row of attractive stone houses in the quiet village of Gordon. At the far end is the former Free Church built in 1843 with its clock tower and bell turret. Shortly after this photo was taken, over 100 cyclists raced through on their way to Kelso which hosted Stage 1 of Tour of Britain 2024. This normally very quiet village became busy with spectators and a long queue of traffic which was held up. The one small village shop/ take away was doing a brisk trade in coffees!
