Galashiels Post Office
Located in Channel Street, this fine building is due to be closed with some services transferred to W.H.Smith, also in Channel Street. Built in 1894 by H.M. Office of Works, this 2 storey building has a five bay frontage with octagonal towers and projecting porch. It was extended in 1915. Channel Street, Galashiels in 1991

Professional cycling in Galashiels
The Tour Series Round 2 cycling event was held in Galashiels on 04/05/2022 when the streets in the town centre were closed to traffic to allow racing on a 1km fast-paced circuit. This competitor in the women’s race is at about to take a sharp left hand turn from Channel Street in to Bank Street.

The Tour Series Round 2 cycling event was held in Galashiels on 04/05/2022 when the streets in the town centre were closed to traffic to allow racing on a 1km fast-paced circuit. A motor cycle outrider with on-board cameraman was ahead of the competitors recording the event for television.
