Spittal Promenade
The promenade has undergone extensive restoration when repair work was needed following severe damage caused by the sea in 1996 and 1998. The restoration cost £3 million.

A Lifebelt hangs on the railings at Spittal Promenade
The sun was shining here on Easter Sunday. Many families were enjoying a walk on this beautiful sandy beach while huge, white, frothy waves were rolling in. Several other people were walking with their dogs along the promenade.
