Old Templars Hall, restoration
'Old Templars Hall' on North Greenwich Road, formerly used by a motor-company, has been restored (using local Doddington stone to create new quoins) - the building is now used as holiday lettings, and has been rather curiously re-named as 'Temperlars Hall'. The building to the right is St John's Church Hall, formerly Spittal National School Image

Bell-gable, St John's Church Hall
The bell-support has long since eroded. The inscription above the window reads: "Spittal National Schools, Built AD 1812, All the children shall be taught of the Lord and great shall be the peace of the children" (Isaiah 54:13). See also Image and Image
