Former Youngman's Store, Berwick-upon-Tweed
The former Youngman's store in Berwick. Work is under way on the long vacant shop turning it into flats and a ground floor restaurant. As part of the current proposals the roof of the building in the foreground will be removed to create an open air courtyard in front of a restaurant.

Building work at the former Youngmans store, Berwick-upon-Tweed
Demolition and building work is under way at the former Youngmans store on Hide. The ground floor will be converted into a courtyard and restaurant, whilst the upper floors will contain flats. Image shows the building from the same position 2 months earlier. In the time since that photo the roof and top of external walls have been removed from the part of the building in the foreground.

New flats and restaurant, Hide Hill, Berwick-upon-Tweed
Work on the development of a new restaurant and flats in the former Youngman's store, and long before that a car showroom and garage, is well under way. The decorative masonry which tops the columns has been removed and is being rebuilt, whilst the building behind appears to be nearing external completion.

Silver Street from Foul Ford
The building to the left ('Carpets and Household Furnishings') was previously Youngman's department store, and is currently under a development proposal to become flats plus a pizza-outlet. It was originally 'The Salmon' inn.
