Northburn Road joins the A1107 (north to Coldingham, south to Berwick). Pocklaw Slap (wonderful name!) leads northwesterly and links to the Coastal Path.

A starling murmuration at Eyemouth
A bird of prey at the top right has spooked this large group of starlings into forming ever changing patterns and shapes in the evening sky. The birds were viewed from the grassed play area opposite the entrance to Acredale Road.

Glistening rosehips
Stunningly bright - great crop of rosehips this year, very tempted to start wine-making again! Rosehips make a very lovely pale rosé wine, which in storage becomes sparkling in the next year when the plants come back into bloom - if you can keep it that long!! ...see also Image
