Sir Walter Scott is given the cold shoulder
The Famous Author sir Walter Scott was the Sheriff of Selkirkshire and living at nearby Abbotsford House was a man of some standing in Galashiels. The Town's people had a bust cast of him at the end of Bank Street gardens.
