The Gala Water in Galashiels
Fairly full today after some rain and a contribution from snow melt, looking downstream from the George Craig Bridge. The buildings are on the Gala Water Retail Park - nearest is M&S Food Hall with Boots further down.

Mill lade and water turbine, Galashiels
A short open length of the mill lade is on view alongside Huddersfield Street at the Gala Water Retail Park. The turbine was used to power machinery in one of the textile mills here as recently as 1968, as noted on a nearby information board.
