Farmland at Easter Langlee, Galashiels
A planning application was lodged with Scottish Borders Council in 2007 by Persimmon Homes to erect 118 new houses (phase 1) on this farmland. In a phase 2 development, more houses were planned to the east of this area, but since the arrival of the credit crunch nothing has happened on site and advertising signs that were erected by the company were taken down a long time ago.

Land awaiting development, Easter Langlee
The ground beyond the fence is now becoming overgrown having been cleared of topsoil and levelled several years earlier. Houses have been built nearby, this must be the last bit to come out of the land bank.

Site of demolished buildings
My 1:25000 map shows a large building on this site. This is almost certainly due for development for housing.
