The Borders Railway Works at Winston Road, Galashiels
Winston Road where this photo was taken is now closed for a year for excavation works and the construction of a new bridge. The original Waverley route bridge still exists in this location and will be revealed when full excavations take place. A pedestrian and cycle route on the old Waverley trackbed called the Black Path is now closed to the public.
