The light is red
Burnham on Sea Railway Heritage Group have installed these signals as a reminder of the old S&D railway line that served Burnham until 1963. They are, of course, a recreation of the genuine articles and the sun provides the only illumination.

Reminder of the past on Old Station Approach
Burnham on Sea Railway Heritage Group have installed these signals on the roadside as a nod to the times when this road was a railway. They were also instrumental in persuading the local council to change part of the name of the road from Marine Drive to Old Station Approach on June 2016.
