A strange south side
The church of the Blessed Virgin Mary dates from the thirteenth century but has a slightly odd appearance. Notwithstanding the alterations of the fifteenth century or the restoration in 1861 by George Gilbert Scott, it is still the fact that the central tower is of a design that was already becoming old-fashioned when it was built. Grade II* listed.
