Repairing the roof of Holy Cross
The south porch appears to have been left alone. It was reported that lead thieves struck in February, leaving the south aisle roof vulnerable and the church with a bill of at least £30,000!

Middlezoy and Othery school
Education on the village was a home-spun affair for some years going back to the seventeenth century and remaining a local activity until 1874. In that year a school board was set up and more conventional means of education were pursued. This is a part of the modern school and its play area, with some older brick structures.
