Former Youth Hostel, Crowcombe Heathfield
Situated at Crowcombe Heathfield, Denzel House opened as a Youth Hostel in 1940 and closed in 2006. This country house is now a private dwelling and its postcode is TA4 4BT.

White saddle fungus
This fairly common but unusual looking fungus was hiding in leaf litter. Not one for the table.

Crowcombe: West Somerset Railway
Large prairie, otherwise 2-6-2 tank locomotive 4160, near the top of the climb from Bishops Lydeard with a train for Minehead about to stop at Crowcombe Heathfield station. In 1994 serious cutting back of undergrowth was underway. Today the cuttings and embankments on the line are kept regularly trimmed
