Some sort of beet growing in a curiously-shaped field completely surrounded by lanes. This was taken from a gateway just beside the nearer junction shown in Image The prominent oak newly in leaf on the left is shown in Image

Start of two footpaths north of Slough Green
I'd love to be able to tell you the numbers of the two footpaths that set out from here, one into Thurlbear Wood on the left, the other across the field and down to Stoke St Mary, but the Somerset rights of way site isn't functioning at the moment. This is at a right-angled bend in the lane shown in Image], with which the two paths form a crossroads.
