Somerset Heritage Centre, Brunel Way, Taunton
Run by South West Heritage, Somerset Heritage Centre "provides state-of-the-art storage for the historic records of Somerset and access to them, including the Somerset Studies Library". It is part of a modern industrial estate on the site of former railway sidings adjacent to the GWR main line.

Norton Fitzwarren: Christian Salvesen depot
The logistics company utilises buildings erected in World War II as 3 Supply reserve depot, RASC; these were taken over by the United States Army in 1942. The depot was originally rail connected and was used to produce composite ration packs; it closed in 1966 and the site later became known as Taunton Trading Estate. Langford Mead is the twenty-first century designation. The road here is probably Brunel Way, but the street signs have yet to be put up in March 2010
