The George Inn, Crewkerne
The George Inn was established here in 1541, although the present building dates from 1832. It was an important coaching inn on the London to Exeter road, now the A30. The large opening in the centre led to the inner courtyard and stables.

A fine Ham stone 18th Century house converted to offices. It was once occupied by the Blake family who were pioneers in colonising the Falkland Islands: http://patbrit.org/bil/supp/c0337.htm . market street is the main street of this small town running north south it is also the A356. the cram coloured building used to be the Red Lion Hotel a former coaching inn but it is now a coffee bar and apartments.
