The Taunton Toads
These large amphibians were originally created in 1982 by Philippa Threlfall and Kennedy Collins to mark the opening of the shopping centre off the High Street. They stood there for many years before being put into care as part of a redevelopment in 2005. Since then the toads were kept in storage until finding a new home in this leafy and pleasant park.

Warty problems
The Taunton Toads were made in 1982 from glass reinforced plastic and studded with ceramics. They stood outside the old shopping centre before being 'retired' to Victoria Park. However, it appears that one has developed some sort of infestation.
