Old barn at Lea
The object on the left is the end of a conveyor belt. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1087792 to see the inside. This is a late C17 barn with a timber frame and weatherboarding, some woven panels, uncoursed limestone rubble plinth, and corrugated iron roof. 5 framed bays. Framing: square panels with angle braces and transverse tension braces. 4 boarded doors to west and boarded loft doors in gable ends. Interior: double purlin roof with inclined strut trusses.
