Here is the grade I listed parish church of St. Mary the Virgin, established as a Benedictine priory around 1155. The building was given additions in the 13th and 16th centuries, and was restored in 1890 by C. Hodgson-Fowler.

Priory Gatehouse
Gatehouse to the Benedictine Bromfield Priory which was dissolved in 1538. The gatehouse is Grade II* listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1218714 and dates from the 12th century with the upper floor dating from 17th century.

The priory gatehouse, Bromfield
This medieval timber-framed gatehouse was enlarged with an upper storey after the Dissolution to create a room which has served as both manorial court and village school. Now it can be booked for short breaks with the Landmark Trust.
