Castle House, Ludlow
Castle House was built in the 19th century and extended in 1904. It has had a rather chequered history, being used as a military convalescent home during the second world war. It later housed evacuees and was converted into flats after the war. In 2002 it was acquired by the Powis Estate, who own the adjacent castle, and, among other functions, now provides visitor facilities including a tearoom.
