Railway line south of Church Stretton
The line has come from Shrewsbury and, in this direction, leads to Craven Arms where it divides, one route being the Marches line through Ludlow, Leominster to Hereford and the other being the Mid Wales line towards Llandrindod Wells and Llanelli.

Old Milestone by the B5477, Little Stretton, Church Stretton parish
Carved stone post by the B5477 (was A49), in parish of CHURCH STRETTON (SOUTH SHROPSHIRE District), Little Stretton, by bridge outside the Maltings, on verge, on East side of road. Ludlow stone, erected by the Ludlow (first district) turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-
