Station Road, Wem
The two houses on the left, that were obviously built to last, look as though they should be part of a terrace but are in fact semi-detached. The next house is from a different era with a contrasting architectural style. Just beyond the road takes a dog-leg turn and leads to the station itself.

Wem Level Crossing
A line of vehicles backs up on Soulton Road waiting patiently for a Crewe - Shrewsbury local service to arrive at Wem station. The train is operated by Transport for Wales but remains within England for its entire journey.

Wem Railway Station Bus Stop
Buses stop here, conveniently close to the railway station, on the route from Whitchurch to Shrewsbury. The service generally runs hourly through the daytime. However, whereas the train typically takes 18 minutes for the journey to Shrewsbury, most buses take 45.
