Fenced off site near the Central Car Park in Wem
Located between Wem Clinic http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4194699 on the left and Bridgefield Veterinary Surgery http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4194687 on the right. The only relic of the site's former use was the concrete base of a demolished building at the far end.

House and rear entrance to school, Chapel Street, Wem
The inscription is 'British Schools'. These were non-conformist schools set up before local authorities provided 'board' schools. 'School' is often seen in the plural, one for boys and one for girls; later maybe one for infants as well. The school is (or was) in Leek Street.
