It was still open in 2013 Image Whatpub.com says it was still open in 2018, but has closed since then owing to the death of the landlord. The same site says there has been a pub here for at least 230 years.

In October 2013 there was a large board showing UNDER OFFER on the premises. There are motorbikes inside and on display outside, so it appears that the business is being sold as a going concern.
