Former fields, Sutton
Things are about to happen in this square which is unfortunately dominated here by A5 windscreens. The thin strip of land between the older and current Shrewsbury bypasses is due for development. After over 20 years since the new road opened it is a surprise to see it has yet to be built upon. There is the stub of an access road where the Co-op lorry is parked.

Sutton
Suburban Shrewsbury which grew out to the barrier of the A5 bypass. Now there is a new bypass to the south and the land between here and the dual carriageway is out of production awaiting development.

Awaiting development
The strip of land between the new A5 (behind trees) and the old Shrewsbury bypass. Sutton grew up to the old road and soon will expand towards the current bypass.

The former St Johns chapel, Sutton, Shrewsbury now a Greek Orthodox church
What a lovely building, dating from the 1200s, so 13th century, with later amendments from the 1600s and 1700s, and now a Greek Orthodox church after a period of disuse. Here is a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_Orthodox_Church to the Greek Orthodox Relion on Wikiedia.

Former Church of St John, Sutton
This tiny former Anglican church, long redundant and sited in the middle of a large new housing estate, now has a new lease of life as the home of an Orthodox congregation.

Old chapel in Sutton, Shrewsbury
Once a 12th century chapel, named for St John, and now a Greek Orthodox church I believe.
