Severn Way east of Monkmoor
The path runs across open fields for a way north of here. The fenced compound on the left is Shrewsbury's sewage works, with its outfall into the Severn delimited by a wooden fence on the right about 100 yards away.

Sweet Severn's sedgey bank
After some days of rain the river levels have reduced leaving the usual debris of flotsam and jetsam, mainly twigs and branches, with plastic bottles and packaging.
