A chapel in Pontrhydfendigaid
From its inscription I deciphered that it was built as a place of worship for Calvinistic Methodists in 1859. What social and religious changes we have seen since the elders first admiringly smiled on that inscription 150 or so years ago.

The Red Lion
The Red Lion in Pontrhydfendigaid, there is a blue plaque of the front wall of the pub to Caradoc Jones the first Welsh man to climb Mount Everest Image Born in 1958, he lived here in this pub. He reached the summit of Everest 23 may 1995.
