High Street, Borth
Houses on the sea (west) side of the street, opposite the old school building, now a chemist shop and health centre. The photo was taken for the sheer joy of seeing some early morning sun after three days of grey clouds and heavy rain!

Here comes the carnival
Regardless of how dreadful the weather has been - and 2011 has had a dull and damp summer - the day of the carnival at Borth is almost invariably sunny. Here the vanguard of the procession is making its way down the street, collection tins rattling all the way.

Gift shops on Borth's main street
The Compton Gift Shop has sunshade blinds that I haven't seen since I was a kid - very orange and turning everything on display a curious hue. The shop frontage is also very 'sixties I feel.

Posts, rope and decking
A yard extension to one of the properties backing onto the beach at Borth. Great for lazing on in the summer.

Borth on an (almost) typical Summer's Day!
Although I know the sun does shine, it sometimes doesn't feel like it!

Chapel and Hall, Borth
I'm guessing the smaller building is the church hall. Or a Sunday School, something like that.

The lane to Ynys Fergi
To the best of my knowledge this lane does not have a name that appears on any sign or map. It leads to the council tip and the Animalarium at Ynys Fergi farm. On the left is the disused Catholic church, on the right an assortment of sheds and bungalows. Perhaps not the most attractive street in the village.
