Borth back yard
A close up of one of the many colourfully decorated yards which back on to the beach. The nets and buoys are attached to old groyne posts which were almost certainly salvaged from the first phase of the sea defence renewal back in 2011.

Eclectic decorations, Borth
Many of the properties backing onto the beach have acquired growing collections of decorative objects for the yards. This particular one has coloured ropes, buoys, lobster pots and many other fishing materials which seem to grow by the week. And great they look too.

A Side Street in Borth
Borth isn't very wide. A lane off the High Street has a couple of buildings and that's it.

The Village of Borth
Here is the village of Borth; the road seen here is the B4353 road, although this is also known as High Street. One of those memorable views.

Nooks and crannies, Borth
Borth is generally regarded as comprising one long street running alongside the beach but it has numerous little side passages, mostly un-named with almost hidden houses and, like this one, charming views of the church and countryside.

Part of Borth main street
The main street is very varied architecturally with old guest houses, cottages, pubs and eateries as well as large Art Deco homes in the residential sectors towards Ynyslas. Some of the buildings have that gloriously seedy, weathered and dated look that a seaside town does so well.
