Cambrian Terrace, Borth
Visitors by train to Borth walk past this splendid multi-coloured terrace on their way to the seafront. When the railway first came here in the 1860s it is reported that the local people were bitterly opposed, fearing that their village was about to change forever; they were of course right, but Borth never became more than a Victorian seaside resort in miniature, hemmed in by the sea to the west and Cors Fochno - a great bog - to the east.

Emergency, Borth Station
A gentleman has stumbled and twisted an ankle and it seems every emergency vehicle in North Ceredigion has arrived in Cambrian Terrace to deal with it. As it is also the 150th anniversary celebration for Borth Station the terrace is very busy indeed.

Cambrian Terrace and Borth Station
Borth Station was built by the Aberystwyth & Welsh Coast Railway, and for a short time served as the terminus of the line, before the line was extended to Aberystwyth.
The terrace on the right was built around the same time, by the entrepreneur Thomas Savin, who was also involved in building the railway. His intention was to take advantage of the railway to develop Borth as a resort. The buildings on the left are modern. Seen on a rainy day.

Red Kite at Borth
Red Kites are quite common to see in Wales, although I didn't see any on my 2017 visit of Borth. I spotted this whilst walking up to the church. Taken from near Cambrian Terrace.
