Shoe fitting in Richleys clothing store
My granddaughter is 20 now and the Richleys chain of stores, local to Mid-Wales, disappeared some years ago. The premises are now occupied by a 'Next' shop.

Closed Retail Outlet, Aberystwyth
Although the local economy seems to be relatively buoyant, there wasn't enough trade to support this wall and floor tile outlet. It closed early in 2007.

Phoenix risen?
The Richleys cheap clothing chain store has seemingly risen from the 'ashes', bucking the current trend. Having closed in Spring 2008, all staff at the Aberystwyth branch were made redundant and 'locked-out' - See Image . However, I understand that another company has now purchased some of the assets of the original, including the name, under which they are now trading.

In Receivership
Richleys, a Swansea based cheap clothing chain with shops throughout Mid and South Wales , has gone into receivership. Some of the branches have been saved but that at Aberystwyth is doomed. The adjacent retail unit, previously a tile outlet, closed over a year ago and is still to let.
