Calvinistic Methodist Chapel (Llanidloes)
Built from 1872-74 by the Reverend William Jones, this was restored from 1983-86. This is situated on China Street, and the imposing façade gives an impression that this is the most detailed chapel in Llanidloes.

The John Wesley Stone
A Preaching Stone, at the western corner of Llanidloes Market Hall. The plaque on the stone states that according to tradition, John Wesley passed through Llanidloes at least 6 times and preached on this stone in 1748, 1749 and 1764.

Market Hall, Llanidloes
The only surviving timber-framed market hall in Wales. Recent tree-ring dating has shown the present Hall was built at some time between 1612 and 1622 but some of the timbers used in its construction date from the mid-16th century, possibly recycled from an earlier market hall.
The upper floor has, at different times, housed the law court and working men's institute. It now has a permanent exhibition about the construction of timber-framed buildings.
The
Image seems to have been reset since April 2006 and is now positioned so that someone might be able to stand upon it for preaching purposes. It means you must now twist your head to read the plaque. Older photos http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rosdavies/Daviesphotos/Llanidloes1900.jpg show that it used to lie round the corner in the road.
