Milestone in Carno
This milestone is not marked on the map but probably predates the wall. It shows 11 miles to Newtown and 17 miles to Machynlleth. Mach is a commonly used abbreviation for Machynlleth but I have yet to hear anyone refer to Newtown as Newt. Someone has cleaned it up and repainted it since 2006 https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6038359
