The new Theatr Hafren extension, Newtown
Theatr Hafren is one of the most valuable and popular theatre venues in Mid Wales, with a 555-seat capacity and this new storey or vertical extension that permits more theatricality I'm sure. It looks like a container ship has lost one container but at least it is memorable.

Theatr Hafren, Newtown
Incorporated into Coleg Powys complex the theatre has recently benefited from the addition of this 'fly-tower' which facilitates scene changes and gives the theatre greater scope. The college is a classic '70's style building that from any distance could be a school, prison, barracks, admin block etc. I guess that to some it is all of those things.
