G. F. Grigg Latham Park
The home ground of Newtown A.F.C.
This ground has regularly staged European matches (Intertoto Cup, EUFA Cup and Champions League) as it meets E.U.F.A. requirements for preliminary rounds, although it has been several years since Newtown qualified.
G F Grigg Construction currently sponsor the ground.

G. F. Grigg Latham Park
Newtown purchased this site in the late 1940's. The ground is named Latham Park to honour a local sporting hero- Captain George Latham- who played for Liverpool, Stoke City & Cardiff, also winning 12 caps for Wales. He later became Cardiff City trainer and held that position when Cardiff City had their historic F.A. Cup victory over Arsenal in 1926/7.

Named after former Wales international footballer George Latham, a native of Newtown, Latham Park is a multipurpose stadium. It is currently the home ground of Newtown F.C. (football club).

Looking through a small plantation in Dolerw Park
The ground by the riverbank was a little muddy but as I walked into the grassier parts away from the river it got wetter and muddier, with the water getting in through the lace-holes in my shoes.
