Giant shop front, Malpas
A two-storey shop front is a surprise in a small sleepy market town. The architecture of the rest of the building is also somewhat eccentric.

Lloyds TSB, Church Street, Malpas
The Lloyds TSB building in Church Street has a pediment dated to '1916'
Image The K6 phone box on the left of the building is Grade II listed:
http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=55643&mode=quick Also, brickwork on the west side of the TSB building, as seen in the K6 listing photo, suggests a date for the shell much earlier than 1916.

St Oswald's gates to Church Street
These magnificent gates, at the south east corner of St Oswald's church yard, date to 1773 and are Grade II* listed. http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=55577&mode=quick The modern footpath signpost seems incongruous by comparison.

Church Warden plaque, Church Street
This church warden plaque is inset into St Oswald's churchyard wall alongside Church Street. The names recorded are:
GEORGE HOOPER
LLOYD JONES
CHURCH WARDENS
[**]57
The date almost looks like 1957, but there was a George Hooper, Druggist, living in Malpas in 1857, so it could be him. I have been unable to find a Lloyd Jones in Malpas around those years.
