Track beside the Shropshire Union canal
This track runs beside the canal across Whixhall Moss and probably dates from the days when the canal needed regular maintenance as the moss shrank as it was drained to enable the peat to be cut. http://www.english-nature.org.uk/about/teams/team_photo/Mosses04.pdf

Morris Lift Bridge is No 45 across the Llangollen Canal. It is a farmer's accommodation bridge linking Moss Lane to a farm and a scrapyard north of the canal. The bridge is being raised to allow boats passage in both directions. The person standing holding on to the narrowboat is still not preparing to proceed, the bridge being almost fully raised, so there will be a delay for boats waiting on the Prees side.
