North Shrewsbury Friendly Neighbours at 67 New Park Street was set up in 2002 to provide localised one-off, short-term and long term support for Shrewsbury residents. Examples are light shopping, collection of prescriptions or pensions, support for parents or carers, support during convalescence, transport to/from appointments, applying for Blue Badge or Attendance Allowance etc.

John Street Church, Castlefields, Shrewsbury
On the corner of John Street and Newpark Road. The Shropshire History website states that this is a small non-denominational Gospel Hall built in the early 1880s. During the 1890s it developed into an Assembly of Open Brethren, who still use the building.

Convenience store and Post Office in Castlefields, Shrewsbury
A local convenience store serving the suburb of Castlefields and its visitors. The store, operated by Morrisons, has long opening hours, 7 day opening and a wide range of products. Also excellent staff! The Post Office counter inside is really convenient.
