Quaker Meeting House in Coton Hill, Shrewsbury
Premises of the Religious Society of Friends, also known by their nickname Quakers. One religious sect that most people seem to universally respect. Quakers have without doubt contributed to this nation, and the world, more than most so-called religious groups.

Coton Hill sidings
Although vacant in this photo, the sidings appear to have been re-ballasted recently which suggests they are still used. Network Rail engineers were on site attending to the signal control cabinet. The train is a class 158 'Supersprinter' on a Cardiff to Holyhead service operated by Arriva Trains Wales.

Last pub in Shrewsbury
The Woodman is one of three pubs within a few yards of each other (the others being the Royal Oak and the Bird in Hand). Exterior signage has changed since my earlier photo Image Whatpub.com adds some interesting information: 'this half brick and half timbered black and white corner pub was rebuilt in 1925 after the original 1800s building was destroyed by fire in 1923. The landlady at the time died in the fire, and some people believe that she now haunts the pub', and 'once you cross the railway going out of town towards Ellesmere you will not see another pub for about 6 miles. This is largely due to the outer areas of Shrewsbury such as Greenfields having restricted covenants placed on the sale of alcohol by the original landowners who were dedicated to temperance.'
