Viewed across the A528 Coton Hill at the end of May 2014 when the building was the premises of T.C.B (The Carpet Bank). The inscription in stone on the building on the left is CASTLE GATE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH FOUNDED 1844 REMOVED HERE 1909. The inscription on the right shows SUNDAY SCHOOL & LECTURE HALL.

Built as a Congregational Church, including Sunday School, in 1908-09, by A.B. Deakin. Prominent copper dome on columns brought from another chapel in Castle Gates. Occupied at the time by The Carpet Bank, a carpet and bed superstore.
