16 & 17 Butcher Row, Shrewsbury
Originally built as a house in 1715 (so, early 18th century) but converted to two shops and then a later single shopfront added in the 20th century, it's now trading as a cocktail bar and tea room. The whole was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101271304-16-and-17-butcher-row-shrewsbury#.XAqmD9SLTGg in 1953.

Abbots House in Butchers Row - Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Here in the much expanded town of Shrewsbury, in its mediaeval core, stands the 15th century Abbots House. This half-timbered building was erected in 1459 by John Wenlock, the Abbot of Lilleshall Image, as an investment and comprised shops and living accommodation. It was Grade I listed on the 10th January 1953 by the then English Heritage, now Historic England. The hanging sign on the right reads 'Abbots House'. Time photo taken not available. Image] Image]
