Ifton Miners' Welfare Institute
Ifton Pit became Shropshire's biggest Colliery and belonged to the North Wales Coal Fields. The Ifton Miners' Band used to rehearse in the Institute, or the "Stiwt", as it was known.

St Martins Centre, St Martins
The centre is situated next door to Stans Superstore. It is the hub of many village activities such as the Youth Club, Day Centre for adults with learning difficulties, Age Concern, Play school and has a very well equipped IT room and many more activities too numerous to mention here.

St Martins Post Office in mourning
Early this year the owner of the Post Office decided to retire. St Martins lost its Post Office. The letter Box and the door was painted black, which was very poignant.
