Oswestry signal box
Oswestry had at one time two signal boxes, North and South. Only the former South box remains and this has had significant work carried out on it recently including a new stairwell.
It is not connected to the line as the working apparatus was removed many years ago.
Now part of the Cambrian Heritage Railway museum.

Alpha is a Cambrian Railways Society 0-4-0 diesel hydraulic shunter built in 1962. More than two decades later, after being saved from the scrapheap by the Cheshire Lines Steam Railway Group, it was moved to the Llangollen railway in 1987. After little use there, it was moved to Oswestry in 1991, where it has been a shunter ever since.
