A5 (A483) - some typical traffic around Oswestry
The combined A5/A483 route is busy at all times hereabouts with significant volumes of commercial traffic. Long tails of traffic are commonplace with trucks restricted (at least in theory) to 40mph. A dual carriageway is needed between Oswestry and Ruabon as a minimum, but the cross-border nature of the route probably acts as a brake on progress.
