Technically, this is actually the Hall Green branch of the Trent and Mersey canal although it is for practical purposes part of the Macclesfield Canal and the bridges are numbered in the sequence counting up from Marple.

Cast iron post by the A34, in parish of Church Lawton (Congleton District), between Red Bull and Hall Green, on cut grass, back to stone low garden wall, on North West side of road. Cast iron CCC1898, erected by the County Council in the 19th century.
