There are two very beautiful Himalayan Birch (Betula utiis v. 'Jacquemontii') trees by the lock.

Old Milepost by the B5051, Duke Bank, Stoke on Trent parish
Cast iron post by the B5051, in parish of STOKE ON TRENT (STOKE ON TRENT District), between Norton Green and Norton-in-the-Moors, West of Endon village, by the road, on South side of road. Cochrane iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 20th century.
