Trent and Mersey Canal, site of canal basin
The far bank of the canal has a minor projection suggesting that a basin existed there which would have served a factory in times gone by; OS mapping shows that there was indeed a short branch there. Clearly the basin has been filled in as the site has been redeveloped.
